 Recycled
Snowman!
Remember..always supervise
your child around plastic bags! This activity
uses 7 plastic grocery bags. Take a plastic bag
and hold it open while your toddler puts 3 plastic bags
inside. Pack them down and then gather the bag to make a
ball around them. ( see photo) Now tie a piece of string
or yarn so that you create a ball at the bottom of the
bag. This will be the base of the snowman. Now pack in 2
bags and create a second ball on top of the first one.
Tie some yarn and then pack in one bag on top of the
second ball and tie it off. Add some black construction
paper dots for eyes and buttons and something for a nose
and mouth. You can even add a scarf if you like! You can
cut off the handles or use them to hang on a door or
door knob or window (with a suction cup hook like in the
photo).

Tips/Suggestions-
- Remember..always supervise
your child around plastic bags! If you are
concerned with the bags, then you can try the activity
with a big white sock.
- If you don't want your toddler to touch bags you can
put the bags in and count as you do to get him/her
involved.
- Let your toddler help to decide what to put on the
snowman and what colors to use!
