Toddler Games with Catalog Puzzles

Do you get catalogs in the mail? I get ones that I didn’t even ask to receive, but have found a way to use them in a fun way.

Take a page from the catalog that either has a large item, or some simple colorful items that would be easy to match up, top and bottom. Tear the page out and glue to a piece of paper. Then cut down the middle in a line, with different turns or shapes. Mix them up and then let your toddler help you to put the pictures together.

When you are looking at each half, talk about the colors you see, or the shape of the piece ( if it is straight, or round). Then when you match two together, celebrate and try to figure out what the big picture is!

You can also do this while traveling in a hotel room, or airport. Have fun!
